BAGEECHAA STAY

We have absolutely loved our time at Bageechaa. From the moment we arrived, we could see how clean everything was and really cared for. The owner, Shihab has done a lot of travelling so each bedroom is fitted with such high quality and thought through furnishings. Everything is even better than the photos. I have included some up to date pictures. The food was incredible. The chef, Chamara is definitely the best on the island and produces 5 star plus food. Everything we had was delicious and we know our food! Shihab has even put in a Well so even the water in the bathrooms are pure and very clean.

Place is new and modern, Staff is very friendly, there were 3 gentleman running the place, they were very helpful. We used bikes to go round the island. Soap in the bathroom is a must, we didn't have any, brought our own. Kettle in the room and cups/glasses are needed to make cup of tea. We asked for it. More frequent towels change. The place is next to an air strip. First plane arrives at 6am, we go used to it during the week stay but you will notice it. Having said that it's still good location and value for money, with nice staff.

Moderní, krásný, čistý hotel. Z pokoje je krásný výhled na moře, dokonce jsme viděli i delfíny. 🥰 Přistávací dráhu za hotelem jsme brali jako skvělou atrakci a s oblibou jsme pozorovali přistávání a vzlétání. Ovšem nejlepší na celém pobytu jsou kluci ze Srí Lanky, kteří jsou velmi přátelští, nápomocní a ochotní. 🤩 Kuchař pro nás každý den vymýšlel speciální jídlo z místních potravin, ale i ze zahrady. Z každého jídla jsme si odnesli úplně nový zážitek. 😋 Nutno podotknout, že si poradil i s mojí bezlepkovou a bezmléčnou dietou, nic nebyl problém. Toto místo jsme si zamilovali. The room has a beautiful view of the sea, we even saw dolphins. 🥰 We considered the runway behind the hotel a great attraction and enjoyed watching the planes land and take off. But the best thing about the whole stay was the Sri Lankan staff, who were very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. 🤩 Every day, the chef prepared a special meal for us using local ingredients, including produce from the garden. Each meal was a completely new experience. 😋 It should be noted that he was also able to accommodate my gluten-free and dairy-free diet without any problems. We fell in love with this place.
