Accoglienza e assistenza da vero 5 stelle, reef del resort fantastico con squali, aquile di mare e tartarughe, nonostante il sovraffollamento non c’era la percezione di essere in mezzo alla folla di persone. Hanno costruito un altro bar con piscina e altri overwater che non si vedono ancora nelle foto postate, peraltro sull’unica lingua di sabbia che era rimasta intatta. L’isola in generale è molto costruita e perde, a mio giudizio, parte del suo fascino.

Overall, we had a lovely stay, and the biggest reason for that was the staff. Every single person we met—from the restaurants and bar to housekeeping—was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Nothing that didn’t go perfectly was ever the staff’s fault. We were looked after by Aminath, who was fantastic throughout our stay: always responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. The house reef is one of the resort’s biggest highlights. It’s right off the beach, full of marine life, and we saw plenty of fish and turtles. The all-inclusive drinks selection was also excellent, with a wide variety and good quality. We really enjoyed the new main pool and the smaller overwater pool. Despite the number of villas, the island never felt crowded. The food was pretty good overall. There wasn’t a huge amount of variety between days, but that’s understandable given the remote location. The Maldivian and Indian dishes were good, while some of the Western options were less impressive. Our main disappointment was the scenery on part of the island. After flying 40 minutes by seaplane, we expected to feel completely surrounded by nature, but there is a local island very close by. From the eastern side, you can clearly see industrial buildings and also large rock wave breakers, which take away from the tropical feel. This isn’t visible in the Booking.com photos, and we think the listing should represent it more accurately. The other issue was the beach villas. The photos mainly reflect the villas on the northwestern side of the island, which have lush greenery and a wider beach. Our west-facing beach villa was very private, and the private pool was fantastic, but the beach was much narrower and the long white privacy walls between villas were much more noticeable than expected. It looked quite different from the photos, which was disappointing. Further there was a construction of more overwater villas just finished, so there is no southern beach point like photos here suggest (there is the new pool and walking path towards new water villas). This is not reflected on Google Maps yet either.
